Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie (born on November 24 1982) is an American political commentator. She was previously a candidate for the US Senate and a TV presenter at MSNBC. She was a frequent contributor on The Huffington Post and co-host of The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enti. Enjeti and Ball announced in May 2021 that they would be leaving the show to begin their own venture, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is co-host of the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has made guest appearances on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News and programs including Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is currently married to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball attributes her new interest in politics partly due to her experience being a mother in the 2008 primary elections. Furthermore, she witnessed the US elections for president during her time in Jordan. She was able to see the effect it had on residents of her home country and was inspired to appreciate the international impact of US politics. She was part of the Senior Fellowship member of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional District in 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 to July 2015, she hosted The Cycle, an MSNBC program The Cycle. She founded the People's House Project (a political action committee dedicated to Democratic causes) in May 2017.
